Some training has to be redone every so often — a module set to Redo every 12 months, for example. Read + Respond reminds you before it runs out, so you can stay current. The same reminders go out before required training is due.
Reminders reach your phone as notifications. Which channels you get (push, in-app, email) follows your organisation's notification settings and your own.
Step 1
The reminder arrives
A Training expiring notification names the module and when it expires.
Step 2
Open it
Tap the notification. It opens the module it is about, in the app's Training section.
Step 3
Check the date
The module shows Expiring and the date it is Valid until. You are still current until then. Review opens the lessons if you want to look back over them.
Step 4
When reminders come
By default a reminder comes 30 days before, 7 days before, and on the day. Each one is sent once. A reminder that falls in your organisation's quiet hours waits and arrives the next morning instead.
Step 5
Renew once it has run out
When the date passes, the module shows Expired and a banner, Your certificate has expired. Tap Renew this training to start it again.
Step 6
Your old certificate is kept
Renewing starts a new run of the module. Your previous certificate stays on your record — renewing adds to it rather than replacing it.
Step 7
If it runs overdue
Once training is past its date, a Training overdue reminder comes each day. After 7 days (by default) it is escalated: your team leader is copied into the same message, and the notification says so.
Step 8
Required training only
Reminders are only sent for required training. Optional training, and training waiting on an approver to check your certificate, is never chased.
Step 9
For managers
On the web dashboard, the training Compliance report has a Remind button beside anyone with something outstanding, and Remind all for everyone the filters show. A person gets at most one reminder about a module a day, whether it came from the schedule or from a manager.
