Generate a form with AI

Describe the form you need, or upload an existing form or a screenshot of one, and let AI draft it for you to check.

Sound is off

Instead of building a form question by question, you can have AI draft it. Describe what the form is for, or give it a form you already use — a PDF, a Word document, a text file, or a photo or screenshot of a paper form — and a draft appears in your form templates a moment later. The draft is a starting point: check every question before people start using it.

  1. Step 1

    Open Forms Management

In the side menu, click Forms, then Management.

  2. Step 2

    Choose how to start

Click Create Form. From Scratch opens an empty form, From Prompt drafts one from a description, and From Document drafts one from a file you upload.

  3. Step 3

    Describe the form

In Describe the form you want, say what the form is for and what it should ask — the more specific, the closer the draft. Mention who it's about, the questions you need, and anything that must be answered.

  4. Step 4

    Title and description are optional

Leave Form Title and Form Description empty and the AI writes them, or fill them in yourself.

  5. Step 5

    Generate it

Click Generate Form. The form is drafted in the background, so you can leave the page and carry on with other work.

  6. Step 6

    Watch its progress

A banner at the top of your form templates shows the draft's progress, then Form ready to use once it's done. If something goes wrong, the banner says so.

  7. Step 7

    Open the draft

Click Open form to see it in the form builder.

  8. Step 8

    Check every question

Read each question, and check its answer type and whether it's required. Edit, reorder or delete anything that isn't right, and add anything missing.

  9. Step 9

    It's already a saved form

The draft is saved as one of your form templates as soon as it's generated. Edit it like any other form and click Save Form to keep your changes. It starts with no roles in Permissions, so set who can use it.

  10. Step 10

    From a document or screenshot

To turn a form you already have into a Read + Respond form, choose Create Form, then From Document, and upload a PDF, Word document (.docx or .doc), text file, or an image (.png or .jpg) such as a screenshot or photo of a paper form. The rest works the same way: a banner shows progress, including reading the document, then Open form.
