Each item a register tracks is a tag. Tag a staff, client or facility document, or an inventory item, and it is filed against that register, with its expiry and status tracked for compliance.

Good to know
A register is a list of the things your organisation tracks for compliance — staff qualifications, police vetting, a facility's building warrant. Each item it tracks is a tag. When someone uploads a document and tags it, the document is filed against that register, with its expiry and status tracked.
A register's type decides what it covers: staff, facilities, clients, documents, and a few more. Its settings decide whether entries need an expiry date or a document, whether it appears in compliance tracking, and whether individual tags can be marked required.
What it does
- Pick tags, grouped by register, when you upload or edit a staff, client or facility document.
- A tag from a register that tracks expiry asks for the document's expiry date.
- Add a new tag to a register straight from the tag picker.
- Categorise inventory items with a register tag.
- Mark each tag required or optional for compliance, deactivate tags you no longer use, and control who manages them with the Tags permission.
