Pay rates are the rates your shifts and timesheets are paid at — ordinary hours, weekends, sleepovers, public holidays. Each has a factor, the multiplier applied to base pay, and can carry the code your payroll system uses.
You need permission to manage rates to see Admin Settings → Rates.
Step 1
Open Rates
In the side menu, click Admin Settings, then Rates. Rate Management shows how many rates you have, how many are active and the default rate's factor, then every rate with its factor, status, external code and sort order.
Step 2
Start a new rate
Click Add Rate. Create New Rate opens with the factor at 1 and a blue colour.
Step 3
Name it
Enter a Title people will recognise on a timesheet, and a Description if it helps. The title is required.
Step 4
Set the factor
The Factor multiplies the base rate: 0 is no pay, 1.0 is normal, 1.5 is time and a half, 2.0 is double time. It can't be negative.
Step 5
Add the payroll code and colour
External Code is the code your payroll system uses for this rate — timesheet CSV exports include each rate's title, factor and code. Colour marks the rate on timesheets. Sort Order sets where it appears in lists (0 is first), and Set as default rate makes it the default.
Step 6
Create it
Click Create Rate. The rate appears in the list as Active. Use the row's ⋮ menu to Edit it, Set as Default, or Archive a rate you no longer use; Show archived rates brings archived ones back into view. The page's ⋮ menu opens the audit log of rate changes.
