The Audit Log is the organisation's record of changes: who created, updated, archived or deleted each record, when, and what the values were before and after.
It opens on the last 24 hours, newest first. Filters narrow it by the kind of record, the action, the person who did it and the date range.
You need the organisation-wide audit permission to open it, and audit logs have to be included in your organisation's plan.
Step 1
Open the audit log
In the side menu, open Admin Settings, then click Audit.
Step 2
Start from the latest changes
The list shows every event in the last 24 hours, newest first, with a count of how many there are.
Step 3
Filter by the kind of record
Click Entity Types, tick the kinds of record you want — Client, Form Response, Document and so on — and click Done. Clear All Filters puts the list back.
Step 4
Narrow it further
Action filters to created, updated, archived, deleted and the other actions. Staff Member filters to the person who made the change. Date Range widens the window to 7, 30 or 90 days, or a custom range.
Step 5
Read a row
Each row shows the action, the kind of record and its name, who did it, how many fields changed, and the date and time with how long ago it was.
Step 6
Open the changes
Click a row that has changes to open it. Each field shows the old value crossed out in red, then the new value in green.
Step 7
When a record was deleted
A deletion whose fields were all cleared shows as Record removed, and opens to say the record was permanently deleted.
