Medication overview report

See a week of medication rounds for every client at a glance, spot missed doses, and export a medication chart.

Sound is off

The Medication Schedule Report shows every client's regular medications for a week, and what happened to each scheduled dose. Use it to check that rounds were done, find doses that were missed or not yet checked, and export a medication administration chart to share or keep on file.

You need access to reports and to medications to see it.

  1. Step 1

    Open the report

In the side menu, click Reports, then Medications.

  2. Step 2

    Read the week's totals

Above the grid, Scheduled is how many doses are due this week, Given how many have been recorded as given, and Missing how many doses due up to and including today haven't been given — including today's doses not yet recorded and any recorded as not given.

  3. Step 3

    Read the grid

Each client has a blue heading row, then one row per regular medication with its dose and route. Each column is a day, and today's column is shaded blue.

  4. Step 4

    Given and verified

Verified means the dose was recorded as given; a dose is verified as soon as it's recorded. Awaiting verification appears for medications that need a dual signature: the dose is recorded, but a second person still has to sign for it. Where a medication is due more than once a day, the cell counts them, such as 2/2 VERIFIED.

  5. Step 5

    Missed and due

Missing marks a past day where a dose was scheduled but nothing was recorded. Due marks a dose still to be given today. Later days show Scheduled.

  6. Step 6

    Not given

Not given means someone recorded that the dose wasn't given, and the cell is shaded red.

  7. Step 7

    Look at another week

Use the arrows beside the dates to move a week back or forward. This Week brings you back to the current week.

  8. Step 8

    Export a chart

Click Export Medication Data to open the export options. Chart produces a traditional medication administration chart as a PDF (14 days per page) or an Excel file. List produces a CSV of every administration instead.

  9. Step 9

    Choose dates and clients

Click a quick range such as Last 7 Days, or pick dates in the range box. Tick the clients to include, or click Select All. Charts are always made as one file per client, zipped together when there's more than one.

  10. Step 10

    Request the export

Click Export to PDF. The export is built in the background; you'll be notified when it's ready, and you can download it from the Downloads page, opened from the download icon at the top. Your client selection is cleared once the export is requested.
