On the dashboard roster, a coordinator opens Create Shift, picks the client and the staff member, keeps the default times and Draft status, and the draft shift lands in the client's row.
  1. Go to Shifts, check the displayed dates, and read an existing shift before touching the controls.

Good to know

The Shifts roster shows who is working, when. This walkthrough finds shifts for one client, changes the span, and looks at the same roster grouped two ways.

The filters sit behind the filter icon rather than above the grid. The search in there matches the names down the side — clients and facilities in Client View, staff in User View, where it also matches email and job title — so it narrows which ROWS you see. It does not search shift notes or content.

What it does

  • Create a shift against a client or a facility, and assign a staff member or leave it open to all.
  • Repeat a shift daily, weekly or monthly up to an end date.
  • Split a shift into parts, each with its own times and pay rate.
  • View the roster by week, fortnight or month, grouped by staff member or by client.
  • See each client's care ratio on the roster, with a warning when it is not met.
